Jazmine Tavarez-Herrera earned her Master’s Degree from Adelphi University. Jazmine has over 16 years of experience in the Social Work field. These settings include; Union-Free School Districts, Women and Women with Children Homeless Shelters in Nassau County and most recently, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) for the State of New York. Working with students, families, the displaced population and individuals with developmental disabilities, has served as an unwavering foundation. Jazmine has dedicated herself in helping clients work through various types of issues such as, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, low self-esteem, family issues, GAD, Bipolar Dx, Schizo-affective Dx, PTSD, and DV background. Offering some of the most efficient interventions such as; Psychoeducation (PSYED), Family Systems Therapy (FST), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Play Therapy (PT), Social Skills Training (SST), Supportive Therapy (SpTh2), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other client-centered based treatments.
Jazmine is bi-lingual and has an empathetic and compassionate approach when working with the most vulnerable and underserved population. Jazmine continues to find pride in empowering each of her clients, by working together in creating and meeting positive goals. She provides the most up to date techniques and skills available, in efforts to help find a better version of yourself.
