Ms. Kari Sosler received her Master’s in Social Work Degree from Adelphi University in 2009, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Mt. St. Mary College in December of 1999. Ms. Kari Sosler has over 22 years of experience in the social work field, having devoted much of her career to child welfare working closely with children and families facing difficult circumstances including but not limited to neglect, abuse, addiction, trauma and domestic issues. She is proficient in a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), family systems approach, motivational interviewing, client-centered/humanistic, trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based, solution focused, psychoeducation and play therapy.
Ms. Kari Sosler is committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where you can feel comfortable unburdening yourself. She considers her approach to be warm and compassionate, designed to help you feel understood and supported. These approaches allow her to tailor your sessions to meet your unique needs and help you build resilience and develop new coping skills to begin to create healing within. She believes serenity can be found through acceptance of the things which we cannot change, and in having the courage to take the steps necessary to change the things we can and in knowing the difference between the two.
