Dr. Emnine Lefevre, LCSW, earned her doctorate from Capella University and brings 25 years of dedicated experience in the mental health field. She has worked extensively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), the homeless population, and children and youth from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Lefevre is committed to supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, codependency, grief and loss, difficulty with decision-making, and major life transitions. Additionally, she has significant experience working with individuals diagnosed with psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, as well as those managing bipolar disorder and personality disorders.
With a profound passion for trauma recovery, Dr. Lefevre has extensive expertise in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), helping individuals process and heal from painful and life-altering experiences. She specializes in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She also integrates Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to empower clients in their healing process. Additionally, she incorporates holistic approaches such as somatic therapy, guided meditation, mindfulness techniques, and Christian counseling for clients who seek to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, she is able to provide therapy in all three languages, ensuring accessibility and cultural competence in her work.
