Leah Mendelson is a Licensed Master Social Worker who received her degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. Leah has over 5 years of experience in the social work field, and 10 years in nonprofit and educational settings.
Leah works with individual adults and teens contending with self-esteem issues, life transitions, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship and attachment issues, boundary issues, identity exploration, loss and grief, and work-life balance issues. Leah provides trauma-informed talk therapy that draws from several modalities, including psychotherapy, mindfulness, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Systems Theory, DBT, IFS, and creative artistic expression. Leah’s approach is grounded in anti-oppression and cultural humility; we may have different backgrounds, but your experiences and beliefs will always be regarded with respect and dignity.
Leah believes each person possesses the ability to heal and grow- and that we all need help accessing the strength to do so at times. Leah is here to assist you in exploring your experiences, emotions, needs, and potential paths forward, and to offer specialized supports along the way.
