Simone Townsend is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over 10 years of experience working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, and both children and adults with developmental disorders. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Adelphi University and her Bachelor of Science from York College, and is currently pursuing her PhD at Yeshiva University.
Throughout her career, Simone has provided services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses, including Anxiety Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Substance Use Disorders. She is skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring her techniques to meet the unique needs of each client.
Simone has a passion for supporting individuals in crisis, helping them gain the tools and skills needed to navigate their environments. She believes in the inherent strength within all of us and is committed to empowering her clients to achieve the life they envision for themselves.
